COVID 19

Looking  for the Kosmo in the moment of Kaos we are living in, many times I held in my hands the camera, my loyal friend, my eye on the world.
But strangely this time it couldn’t find the words in my place as it has always happened.  I was almost  giving in and my story was destined not to be told. When an image appeared to me like an Epiphany and I needed to realize it and I wanted to carry it out with the only things I had in my house.
I carefully put the camera back and I took up the “poor” collage technique. I liked the fact of having to break something to create it again from nothing, so I took a pair of scissors, an infinite pile of magazines,  a printer and let’s go!

The background is intended to be an urban mural marked by the red color. We can find in it all the phases of Covid’ history and it ends with the auspice of a life more human, natural and sustainable.
Renzo Tramaglino and Lucia Mondella, the two famous characters of I Promessi Sposi by Alessandro Manzoni, stand out in the middle of the canvas in clear contrast with the modern background. These figures, that seem to belong to such a distant time, a time almost died, get back forcefully relevant.
On the right side of the canvas the famous “pandemic sentence” comes down  to celebrate the feeling of humanity that we all are forced o share in this moment.
